Outdoor Spaces
The vision for Torbay Common includes attention to the outdoor spaces that provide an opportunity for community-building activities. Integrated into the building design is an inviting outdoor plaza leading into the building. Here people can gather on nice days and parents can relax as their children take advantage of the new playground and splash pad area. On special market days the plaza will be integrated into the vision for a vibrant outdoor market. Green spaces in the front and rear of Torbay Common will also provide opportunity for events and activities ranging from readings and musical performances to weekend markets. These landscaped green spaces together with the plaza and playground areas provide the outdoor “common ground” always envisioned by the community. The Torbay Common will not only be accessible by road but through green belts and walking trails connecting neighbourhoods.
